A Date with the Sun: Total Solar Eclipse Dinner at Zoëtry Mallorca
On the evening of 12 August 2026, Mallorca slips into a rare twilight: the first total solar eclipse visible from Spain since 1905. Zoëtry Mallorca and chef Andreu Genestra mark the moment with A Date with the Sun — a one-night experience set across the resort's restored 14th-century estate near Llucmajor. The evening: cocktails and canapés at the estate's historic windmill · total-eclipse viewing with glasses provided for every guest · an exclusive dinner with wine pairing around a spectacular Imperial Table, created for the occasion by the kitchen of Andreu Genestra · a sweet finale of petit fours in the Chapel Gardens, beneath the first stars. Totality falls at roughly 20:31, low over the western horizon, and lasts a little over a minute and a half. Places are limited and the evening is €250 + VAT per person; guests who want to linger can stay on at Zoëtry Mallorca from €850 a night with breakfast.
