A Day at Reserva Park (Puig de Galatzó)

Reserva Park, Puigpunyent

Half an hour from Palma in the Serra de Tramuntana, Reserva Park turns a mountain walk into a family day among waterfalls and animals. The waymarked 3.5 km route descends the slopes of Puig de Galatzó, passing some thirty waterfalls, springs and natural pools. Along the way live two brown bears, emus, donkeys, goats, peacocks, geese and wild birds of prey — eagles, vultures and hawks — many of them rescued animals given a home here. Admission includes two educational sessions: a hands-on animal interaction and a birds-of-prey demonstration. From 1 June to 15 September the park opens its natural swimming pools, perfect for cooling off mid-walk. For older kids and bigger thrills, an optional adventure circuit adds zip wires, a Tibetan bridge and a climbing wall, paid separately on site. Parking is free at the entrance — just wear comfortable shoes for the mountain trail. Good to know: Open daily 10:00–17:00 · last entry 15:00 (days vary by season) · allow ~2 hours · natural pools open 1 June–15 September · free parking.
