Alaró Hybrid Games
The Alaró Hybrid Games are a team hybrid-fitness competition staged at the Camp d'Esports d'Alaró, at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana. The inaugural edition was raced on Saturday 4 July 2026, and the Ajuntament d'Alaró has already confirmed a second edition in 2027 — so the event reads as an annual summer fixture rather than a one-off. The format blends running and strength. Each team is two athletes who race together from start to finish: they open with a mandatory 500 m run as a pair, work through ten strength stations broken up by 500 m running segments, and close with a final 500 m the two must cross the line on together. The stations run the functional-fitness repertoire — lunges, ski erg, box step-overs, rowing, weighted abs, bike calories, sled push, farmer's carry, burpee box jumps and wall balls. Three categories are offered — men's, women's and mixed pairs — for competitors aged 16 and up. It is less a straight road race than a test of endurance, strength and two-person strategy, held in a town with a strong mountain and outdoor-sport culture.
