Each summer the Biblioteques de Calvià move down onto the sand with Biblioplatja — a free programme of storytelling, games and art built for families to share, with the sea as a backdrop. The libraries' Hora del Conte storytime and reading come to the beach for the youngest readers, alongside crafts and creative workshops. It's an inclusive initiative, run in collaboration with the users of Esment, to share knowledge, culture and creativity together. A simple, free, thoroughly summery plan across the beaches of Calvià — Palmanova, Magaluf, Santa Ponça and beyond.
