Cap de Formentor is the northern tip of the Serra de Tramuntana and one of Mallorca's most breathtaking viewpoints, with the Mirador des Colomer perched above cliffs plunging into the sea and the Formentor lighthouse at the end of a winding, hairpin road. It's the perfect finale to a mountain route. Key notice for campervans: road access is regulated. From 15 May to 18 October, daily from 10:00 to 22:00, restrictions apply on the Ma-2210; private vehicles are prohibited on the stretch between Formentor beach and the lighthouse during these hours, with fines for unauthorised access. During these months, the alternative is the TIB public bus (line 334), which stops at the Mirador des Colomer, Formentor beach and the lighthouse. Outside these hours and season, the road is open to traffic as normal; even so, it's worth arriving early and considering leaving your campervan in Port de Pollença.
