Through the summer the Ajuntament de Calvià screens family films on its beaches as part of Calvià, Year of Cinema 2026 — no ticket, just turn up. The next session lands on Friday 17 July at Platja des Carregador in Palmanova, with a screening of How to Train Your Dragon — the tale of a young Viking who befriends a dragon and, in doing so, uncovers the true nature of these mythological creatures. The film starts at 22:00, once night falls over the bay. The Cine en la Playa line-up runs across several Calvià beaches through the season, with other titles including Wonka and ¡Salta!.
