Copa del Rey MAPFRE — Palma Bay Regatta 2026

Real Club Náutico de Palma

The Copa del Rey MAPFRE is the Mediterranean's most prestigious keelboat regatta and the headline sports event of the Mallorcan summer. Now in its 44th edition, more than 100 yachts race in the Bay of Palma across several divisions — ORC, Swan, Maxi and more — with the fleet based at the Real Club Náutico de Palma. The event runs from 1 to 8 August 2026, with about five days of racing inside that week. The boats sail under the city skyline with the Serra de Tramuntana and Palma Cathedral behind them. For spectators it is completely free: the racing is visible from the Paseo Marítimo or from a boat out in the bay, and there is an extensive social and cultural programme ashore. How to take part: to compete you need to enter a boat and crew in one of the regatta's classes via the official Copa del Rey MAPFRE website.
