Els Calderers Historic Estate
In the heart of Mallorca, between Sant Joan and Vilafranca de Bonany, Els Calderers is a c.1750 manor estate (possessió) turned museum of Mallorcan rural life. You wander, at your own pace, dozens of period-furnished rooms — a four-poster bedroom, a laid dining table, a music room, a dolls' house, the master's office and the old kitchen — while a vaulted cellar of wine barrels tells the estate's winemaking story. Outside, the Mallorcan black pig (the breed behind sobrassada) and other farm animals share the grounds with traditional craft workshops: a blacksmith's forge, bakery, wash-house and carpentry shop laid out with their period tools. Hours: open daily year-round — 10:00–18:00 April–October, 10:00–17:00 November–March. Tickets: adults €10, children 4–14 €5, under-4s free.
