Festes de Palmanova i Magaluf
Palmanova and Magaluf — Calvià's twin resort towns on the Badia de Palma — throw their patron-saint fiestas in August, and the municipality runs them as one joined-up "Fiestas Magaluf-Palmanova" programme. It's an easy, beach-side family fiesta rather than a heritage spectacle: the action is on the sand and along the seafront promenade. Mornings on Magaluf beach are given over to the kids — water games, inflatable water castles and beach animation. Over in Palmanova the evenings bring a drum pasacalles and open-air dancing along the Passeig del Mar, with a mass at the local church anchoring the traditional side. It's the kind of low-key, sun-and-sea fiesta that suits families staying in the two busiest resorts on this coast. Held across Palmanova and Magaluf, on Calvià's south coast.
