Every 29 June, Port d'Alcúdia celebrates the Festes de Sant Pere in honour of the patron saint of fishermen. The festivities include a maritime procession with fishing boats decked out in flowers, flags and lights, the solemn blessing of the fishing fleet, fireworks over the water and live music at the harbour. The week of celebrations kicks off on 22 June with a popular sardine barbecue and culminates on 29 June with the procession by land and sea. It is one of the most outstanding celebrations of this seafaring tradition in Mallorca.
