The Festes de Sant Pere in Port d'Andratx celebrate 29 June in honour of Saint Peter, patron saint of fishermen. The festivities include a maritime procession with fishing boats decorated with flowers, flags and lights, the blessing of the fishing fleet, fireworks over the water and live music. It is one of the most deep-rooted celebrations in the municipality, combining seafaring tradition with a festive popular atmosphere. The festival runs over several days with activities including the 'carretons' race (13 June), the zarzuela 'La Taberna del Puerto' (13 June, 10pm on the Barba Roja terrace) and the best tomato contest (28 June, 12pm in Plaça d'Espanya).
