In the days around 29 June, the Es Damunt (Los Damunt) neighbourhood of Alaró celebrates its Festes de Sant Pere — a small, deeply local barri fiesta that marks the start of summer at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana. Held over several days (in 2025 the program ran 25–29 June), the festes fill the upper neighbourhood with parades, live music and open-air verbenas, a correfoc (fire run), traditional ribbon-and-ring races (carreres de cintes i anelles), games, live cooking demonstrations and community meals for all the family, honouring Sant Pere on his feast day. It is one of several patronal celebrations in the Alaró area in late June and a characterful, neighbourly alternative to the bigger coastal Sant Pere festivals.
