Festes de la Mare de Déu del Carme — Portocolom
Portocolom, the old fishing port of Felanitx, keeps its seafaring patron in mid-July. The heart of the festa is the Mare de Déu del Carme on 16 July, when — after evening mass at the harbour church — the Virgin's image is carried down to the water and paraded around the port on a flotilla of decorated fishing boats, the most photographed moment of the Portocolom summer. The same night brings a seaside craft-and-food fair on Plaça Sant Jaume and a nit d'havaneres of sea shanties on the quay, with prizes for the best-dressed boats. The wider festa runs on into late July with a correfoc fire-run, a sopar a la fresca street dinner and a children's party. It's a free, open port festa. Exact 2026 dates for the later events weren't published yet at the time of writing; 16 July is fixed.
