Festes de Santa Margalida i Sant Jaume, Sa Pobla
Sa Pobla's patron-saint festes turn the town's plaça Major into the island's liveliest family calendar for two straight weeks, and the week of 20–26 July is where the children's programme peaks: a Monday-night show from the children's troupe Cucorba, Tuesday's multi-adventure games and spinning-top exhibition, a youth tortilla de patatas contest on Wednesday, and — the highlight — Thursday's water castles and foam party for ages 0 to 14. The weekend closes with an equestrian gymkhana, the two-stage Sarao Pobler street party, and a traditional ball de bot on Sunday evening, before the festes wind down the following week with a kite-building workshop. Everything runs around plaça Major, plaça del Mercat and plaça de l'Església, in the compact town centre of Sa Pobla in the island's interior — easy to combine with a stop at the town's famous eel and potato restaurants.
The plaça Major comes alive: children's entertainment, cabezudos and village atmosphere on its liveliest night.
