Festival Internacional de Música de Sineu 2026

Claustre de Sant Francesc, Sineu

Each July, the Baroque cloister of Sant Francesc — an 18th-century courtyard inside Sineu's town hall, in the heart of the Pla de Mallorca — turns into an open-air concert hall for the Festival Internacional de Música de Sineu. Named after Martti Wallén, the Finnish bass-baritone who made the village his home and championed the series, the sixth edition runs across four consecutive Saturday nights in July, all at 21:00. The programme deliberately jumps genres — Shostakovich chamber trios, opera arias, contemporary Argentine tango and Mediterranean jazz — pairing Balearic musicians with international names in an intimate, historic setting. Programme (21:00h): 4 July — Els Trios de Shostakóvich: De l'amor a la guerra, with Catalina Reus (violin), Rosa Cañellas (cello) and Dina Nedeltcheva (piano) · 11 July — Locura Divina: cançons i àries d'òpera, with soprano Neivi Martínez and pianist Alfredo Oyágüez · 18 July — Duo DMol Argentina, contemporary tango from Pablo Albornoz and Daniel Susperreguy · 25 July — Illes Sonores, Mediterranean jazz from the Pere Bujosa trio with Xavier Torres and Joan Terol. Tickets are sold separately for each concert, in advance through the festival's official website.
