The Asociación de Vecinos de Son Caliu 5 y 6 throws open its summer festa over four days at the start of July — billed as the first of Calvià's 2026 summer fiestas. The Son Caliu square, the park behind TEDI in Palmanova, fills with football and pétanque tournaments, water-slide parties for the kids, open-air community dinners and DJ sets that run well past midnight, all free and open to the whole barrio. The weekend builds from Thursday's elders' association dinner, the xeremiers (folk pipers) and a DJ Dani Mir set, through Friday's children's water castles and foam party, into a weekend of sea days at the Club de Vela Puerto Portals, live music, an adults' foam cannon and DJs spinning until the early hours. It closes on Sunday with the tournament finals, a sopar a la fresca and the petanca and football trophy ceremony.

WHAT HAPPENS

The shape of it

Kids' water party

Friday afternoon fills the square with inflatable castles and water slides (run by Brotons), with a children's foam party after dinner.

Sea days at Puerto Portals

Saturday and Sunday run open nautical days at the Club de Vela Puerto Portals; pick up tickets at the Asociación bar.

DJ nights & live music

DJ Dani Mir opens Thursday, with live music, an adults' foam cannon and DJ sets running until 3am over the weekend.

Open-air community dinners

An elders' association dinner, a children's supper and a Sunday sopar a la fresca bring the barrio together at shared tables.

Tournaments all weekend

Benjamín football (Torneo Juan Juan) and pétanque tournaments run across all four days, closing with the finals and a trophy ceremony.
