About

One of the classic stages of the GR-221 "Ruta de Pedra en Sec" (Dry Stone Route) through the Serra de Tramuntana. From the town of Sóller the path climbs the beautifully stone-paved Barranc de Biniaraix up to the Coll de l'Ofre, where the Cúber reservoir opens out below, before descending to the Refugi de Tossals Verds — an old mountain estate run as a refuge since 1995. It's a demanding full-day mountain walk with well over a thousand metres of cumulative climbing, best tackled in the cooler months of spring and autumn — dateless "moat" content rather than an urgency event. If you plan to overnight, book the refuge well in advance.
