Drift over the patchwork of Es Pla at first light: a sunrise hot-air balloon flight is one of Mallorca's most quietly spectacular half-days. You meet at the aerodrome around dawn for the pilot briefing, then lift off between 7:00 and 9:00 for a flight of at least an hour, with a cava toast at take-off and another at 500 metres while the pilot points out the towns and mountains unrolling below — on clear mornings you can pick out Menorca and Cabrera on the horizon. Roughly €130–€190 per person, weather-permitting most days in season. A premium, active and very photogenic experience.
