DURATION

Every Sunday morning the old town of Pollença fills with one of Mallorca's most picturesque weekly markets. More than 300 stalls spread through the Plaça Major and the surrounding streets, at the foot of the parish church of Nostra Senyora dels Àngels and the famous Calvari steps. Stalls overflow with fresh fruit and vegetables, Mallorcan and Menorcan cheeses, cured meats, olives, honey, flowers, leather goods, crafts and clothing. Locals and visitors from across the island mingle through the morning in a lively, photogenic setting. It is a classic northern-Mallorca Sunday: come early, wander at your own pace, and finish by climbing the 365 Calvari steps. Practical: Sundays · 08:00–13:30 · Plaça Major, Pollença (old town, at the foot of the Calvari steps) · free entry · park on the edge of town and walk in, and arrive before 9am to beat the crowds and the parking crush.

GOOD TO KNOW

Before you go

Arrive before 9am — the market runs 08:00 to 13:30 and gets very busy late morning, especially in peak season.
Parking is difficult on Sunday mornings; public car parks around the old town charge roughly €0.50–€1 per hour, so park on the edge and walk in.
Climb the 365 Calvari steps afterwards — one for each day of the year, up to the hilltop chapel with panoramic views over the coast and Formentor.
Sunday mornings only, and the market runs year-round every week.
