Museu del Ferrocarril de Mallorca

Museu del Ferrocarril de Mallorca

Set in the restored former Son Carrió station, the Museu del Ferrocarril de Mallorca tells the island's railway story as an immersive experience — large-format projections, holograms, digital mapping, enveloping sound and sensory effects. You step into a recreated late-19th-century station peopled by holographic characters, take a symbolic ride in a restored carriage guided by the engineer Eusebi Estada, and can try a driving simulator to feel what it's like at the controls. Younger visitors work the points at a model-railway corner while an interactive area introduces the old railway trades through games. Hours: 15 Oct–14 Apr, Wed–Sun 10:00–17:00; 15 Apr–14 Oct, Tue–Thu 10:00–17:00 and Fri–Sun 10:00–19:00. Closed 25 December and 1 January. Tickets: advance online booking required.
