Beethoven's Ninth comes to the Auditòrium de Palma on Saturday 3 October 2026, with two ensembles joining forces in the Sala Magna: the island's own Orfeó Balear under Daniel Mulet and the Orquestra Simfònica Sant Cugat under Salvador Brotons. Four soloists — soprano Ulrike Haller, contralto Anaïs Masllorens, tenor Jordi Casanova and baritone Joan Garcia — carry the great choral-symphonic finale, the "Ode to Joy". The evening opens with a tribute to the Catalan soprano Conxita Badia before the complete symphony, running about 100 minutes plus an interval. A flagship night of the Orfeó Balear's season for anyone who loves big choral repertoire.
