About

Sóller is the postcard village at the heart of the Tramuntana: a valley surrounded by olive and orange groves, with a square presided over by the modernist Sant Bartomeu church and streets of stately façades inherited from the old citrus merchants. It's the perfect village stop on a campervan route: park on the outskirts —the old centre is narrow— and explore on foot, with breaks for freshly squeezed orange juice. From the square, the vintage tram descends through orchards to Port de Sóller, an almost enclosed bay with a seafront promenade, beaches and excursion boats (for example, to Sa Calobra). The tram is paid on board, around €10 per journey, and is an experience in itself. The port is also a great spot to spend the afternoon before continuing your route or staying overnight nearby.
