The House and the Forest

The House and the Forest is a contemporary art exhibition staged inside Can Balaguer, a grand Palma manor house whose door-knocker is a woman's hand using an apple to knock. Set within this historic domestic space, the show meditates on the life of trees and on a contemporary emotional climate of hope and fear, desire, numbness, pain and joy. The works are refracted through the rooms of the old house, proposing a renewed relationship between people and the natural world. It runs from 4 June to 27 September 2026.
