Visit Son Marroig Estate, Deià

On the Tramuntana coast near Deià, Son Marroig was the beloved estate of Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, who devoted his life to studying and championing the Balearics. The house is preserved as a museum, with period furniture and the Archduke's collections. In its romantic gardens stands the famous Templete — a small temple of white Carrara marble — a mirador that frames the view down to the Sa Foradada peninsula and its natural rock arch. The clifftop setting is especially memorable at sunset, looking out over the sea. Admission is €4 for adults (€3 for groups over 20); children up to 12 enter free. It opens Monday to Saturday, roughly 09:30–14:00 and 15:30–16:30, closed Sundays, and the visit takes about 30–45 minutes.
