Contemporary Art at Gerhardt Braun Gallery
Gerhardt Braun Gallery is a contemporary art space on Palma's gallery street, Carrer Sant Feliu, showing a rotating programme of exhibitions across its network of spaces — including the Art Palace, Gallery 15 and the Experimental Space — since 2012. Shows change through the year and range across painting, sculpture, photography and video/installation art, featuring both established names and emerging contemporary artists. A recent example of that programme is POP DREAMS, a solo show by Seville-based artist Mar Muñiz at the gallery's Experimental Space (Carrer Sant Feliu 16). Built around 1980s pop imagery — neon signage, early video games, Japanese anime and Acid House visuals — the show reflects on how contemporary culture consumes images and constructs desire. It's a good snapshot of the gallery's programme: bold, accessible contemporary work paired with a proper opening-night reception. Entry is free, and exhibitions can be visited during regular gallery hours. Opening nights ("vernissages") are open to visitors, usually with the artist present, though an RSVP by email is appreciated for the reception.
