Cursa del Fang
Pòrtol (Marratxí)
Don't let the name fool you: the Cursa del Fang ("mud race") is a road race, not an obstacle course. The fang — clay — is a nod to Pòrtol, the Marratxí village famous for its pottery, and the route runs right past its olleries and siurelleries, the workshops that still throw clay pots and the whistling siurell figurines. Held each July as part of Pòrtol's Festes de la Verge del Carme, it pairs a competitive main race with a shorter popular run-walk and free children's races. Every finisher gets a medal; the winners take home a handmade siurell. The exact 2026 date and fees hadn't been announced at the time of writing — in 2024 entry was around €5–7, with kids free. Registration opens on Elitechip closer to the day.
