Monogràfic de Ceràmica: Esmalts Matèrics
Textured, tactile, deliberately imperfect: matt and matter-rich glazes (esmalts matèrics) are the ones that give a fired pot its geology — crusts, crawls, dry mineral surfaces you want to run a thumb across. Over four afternoons in September, the Escola de Ceràmica Pilar Sastre in Pòrtol hands that vocabulary to a small group, led by visiting ceramist Montse Llanas. Running 15–18 September 2026, 16:00–20:00, the monographic is an unhurried, hands-on studio intensive: you work directly with the glaze recipes and application techniques that produce those matter surfaces, in a municipal ceramics school that sits at the heart of Marratxí's clay-making tradition. Places are capped at eight, so it stays close and personal, and the fee is €340.18. Pre-registration opens 25 August and closes 3 September through the school's enrolment form — worth marking, given how few seats there are.
