Verdi's Rigoletto brings Mallorca's 40th opera season to a close at the Teatre Principal de Palma — one of the most celebrated and dramatic titles in the entire operatic repertoire. The tragedy of the hunchbacked court jester, his sheltered daughter Gilda and the libertine Duke of Mantua unfolds across three performances in the grand Sala Gran. The cast is led by baritone Damiano Salerno in the title role, tenor Filip Filipović as the Duke of Mantua and soprano Génesis Moreno as Gilda, with Óliver Díaz conducting and stage direction by Elena Barbalich.
