Cult Callet-based winery at a 13th-century possessió near Felanitx

Ánima Negra is one of Mallorca's most celebrated cult wineries, built around the island's indigenous Callet grape and bottled under the Vi de la Terra Mallorca designation. Founded in 1994 by self-taught friends Pere Ignasi Obrador and Miquel Àngel Cerdà — who made their first barrels from purchased Callet in unused tanks on Pere's family dairy farm — it works out of the Son Bruguera possessió near Felanitx, a country estate whose buildings date to the 13th century and once supplied wine for the surrounding land. Visits and tastings at the estate are by prior arrangement.
