Málaga's municipal arthouse cinema and home of the Festival de Málaga

The Cine Albéniz is Málaga's municipal cinema, run by the city through Málaga Procultura, and the beating heart of the Festival de Málaga each spring. Just off the foot of the Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba on C/ Alcazabilla, it programmes arthouse and independent films — largely in their original language with subtitles (VOSE) — alongside retrospectives, classics, cycles and special screenings with directors and guests. Its main auditorium, the Sala Málaga, is one of the largest single cinema halls in the city.
