A los pies de la Muralla
Every Friday through the summer, the Plaza de la Constitución in Vélez-Málaga becomes an open-air stage at the foot of the walls of the Nasrid Fortaleza. A los pies de la Muralla fills the heart of the old town with concerts, flamenco, shows and activities for all ages, running from 3 July into mid-August. The programme spans children's shows and a Disney-themed night through to K-Pop, themed parties and the Noche de Coplas. Its high point comes on 14 August at 21:30 with the 49th edition of the Festival Flamenco Juan Breva, dedicated entirely to women and headlined by cantaoras Macarena de la Torre and Sandra Carrasco with bailaora Macarena López.
