Nit de Sant Joan 2026 – Palma
On the night of 23 June, Palma's Parc de la Mar becomes the island's biggest midsummer celebration. The evening opens at 20:00 with the lighting of the fogueró (bonfire) from the Flama de la Llengua, then moves immediately into a children's correfoc at 20:15 — a fire parade run by four family troupes (Enfocats, Kinfumfa, Patits Encabritats and Realment Cremats) sized just right for younger kids to experience the magic of Sant Joan safely. Traditional Mallorcan folk dances by Al-Mayurqa follow at 21:00, before a satirical monologue by Santi Liébana at 22:00. The main correfoc takes over at 22:30, with six troupes and Mallorca's most famous bèsties de foc — including Drac i Guardians de Sant Jordi and Òliba de la Real — filling the park with sparks and drumbeats. The night closes with a concert by beloved Mallorcan band Xanguito at 23:30. Dress code for the correfoc: cotton clothing, long trousers and long sleeves, a hat or headscarf, earplugs and protective glasses.
