Palma Cathedral Rooftop Terraces — Terrats de la Seu
Image backfill for the Palma Cathedral rooftop terraces activity — swaps the Google place_id fallback for four visually-vetted own-account Instagram photos.
WHAT HAPPENS
The shape of it
Climb onto the terraces
Spiral up a long, narrow lighthouse-style staircase to walk out onto the roof terraces of La Seu, high above Palma's old town and the sea.
Gothic close-ups
Get within touching distance of the flying buttresses, pinnacles, the bell tower and the great main rose window that you normally only see from the ground.
Bay of Palma panorama
From the top the whole city skyline and the immensity of the sea open up in a 360° panorama over the Bay of Palma.
Gaudí interior included
The same ticket takes you inside the cathedral below, with its soaring Gothic nave, Gaudí's wrought-iron canopy and the luminous rose window seen from within.

GOOD TO KNOW
Before you go
Terraces run on timed slots roughly every 30 minutes — book ahead and arrive on time, as places on each ascent are limited.
It's a long, narrow spiral staircase with no lift — wear comfortable shoes. Access is not suitable for anyone with cardiorespiratory conditions, vertigo or reduced mobility, and is for visitors aged 9 and over (under-18s must be with an adult).
The rooftop terraces are a seasonal visit (roughly spring to autumn). When open, ascents run Monday–Friday 10:00–16:30 and Saturday 10:00–13:30, with the last ascent at 16:30; the cathedral is closed to tourist visits on Sundays.
The €20 ticket covers both the cathedral and the terraces (€5 for residents). There is also a separate guided 'Terraces at Sunset' tour on Thursday evenings.
