Playa de la Malagueta
Playa de la Malagueta is Málaga's beach in the city — about ten minutes on foot from the centre, next to Muelle Uno, running roughly 1,200 metres of dark sand between the Port of Málaga and La Caleta. In 2026 it was one of seven Málaga-city beaches to fly the Blue Flag, the award recognising water quality, safety and accessible facilities. It has sunbed and umbrella rental, showers, a children's play area and good wheelchair access, with the restaurants of Muelle Uno a short stroll away. Because it sits so close to the centre and beside the Real Club Mediterráneo, you can walk to it — no car required. Entry is free.
