Sa Milla — Cala Blava Open-Water Swim

Club Nàutic S'Arenal → Platja de Cala Blava

The last weekend of August has one fixed date in Mallorca's calendar: Sa Milla, the open-water swim that traces a single nautical mile — 1,852 metres — from Club Nàutic S'Arenal across the bay to the beach at Cala Blava. The 2026 edition, the twenty-third, takes to the water on Saturday 29 August, and registrations are already open. Swimmers of every age and level line up together, from under-14s to veterans past 75, chasing the buoys with support boats shadowing the course and the whole village of S'Arenal cheering the finish. Every entry is a donation: the proceeds go to ELA Balears and its work with people living with ALS, and anyone who can't swim it can still take part with a symbolic 'Dorsal 0'. Trophies and medals go to the podium and the youngest and oldest finishers, with gastronomic experiences and hotel stays from Palma Beach for the winners.
