Tucked into the quiet, locally flavoured Ses Casetes des Capellans end of Playa de Muro, Ponderosa Beach has kept its sand-between-the-toes tradition going since 1967. More grown-up chiringuito than glossy beach club, its kitchen leans on '0km' slow food — paellas, fresh fish and Mediterranean plates built from local produce — while a seasonal music programme of live sets and DJs is timed around the sunset over the Bay of Alcúdia.
