Joana Vasconcelos. Transfiguración
Museo Picasso Málaga
The Museo Picasso Málaga stages Transfiguración, a major survey of the Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos, from 29 May to 27 September 2026. The show brings together sculptures and installations made from the late 1990s to the present, taking "transfiguration" as its thread: everyday materials — textiles, ceramics, the painted tiles known as azulejos — are transformed into monumental pieces that hold Portuguese tradition and contemporary art in dialogue. Curated by Miguel López-Remiro, the museum's artistic director.
