200+ Picasso works in a 16th-century palace, in the artist's home city

The Museo Picasso Málaga sits in the restored 16th-century Palacio de Buenavista in the heart of the city where Pablo Picasso was born. Its collection gathers more than 200 works — paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and prints — spanning the full arc of the artist's career, and it complements the permanent display with major temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. Roman remains uncovered during the palace's restoration are visible in the basement.
