The Consell de Mallorca's public library in the historic La Misericòrdia complex

Run by the Consell de Mallorca, the Biblioteca de Cultura Artesana occupies the La Misericòrdia building on Via Roma in central Palma. Beyond its reading rooms and heritage collections it hosts a full calendar of free public activities — reading clubs, talks and, in summer, the open-air Bibliojardí in the Misericòrdia garden with a cycle of family storytelling. Regular hours run Monday to Friday 8:30am–8:30pm and Saturday mornings, with weekends closed in July and August.
