About

Sa Calobra is one of Mallorca's most spectacular arrivals: a small cove nestled between walls rising up to 200 metres where the Torrent de Pareis meets the sea, declared a Natural Monument in 2003. You reach it through a tunnel carved into the rock that connects the beach with the torrent's mouth. By road, access is via the famous "tie-knot road," a descent of tight switchbacks that is slow and tricky in a motorhome, with paid parking (€1.50/30 min or €15 per day). The comfortable alternative is to leave the motorhome at Port de Sóller and take the boat: the crossing lasts around an hour along the island's most rugged coastline and costs about €23 one way or €35 return (adult fare), with several departures daily. This avoids the road and takes you straight to the cove.
